Post subject: | PC Mic problems!! Help!! |
Hey, I desperately need a techie here. I downloaded a freebie trial of "PCKaraoke" , and then deleted it because it was really dumb. BUT, after downloading it, my mic is being wierd. I can talk into my mic and hear myself through my speakers. Usually I can't hear myself through them at all. I don't know what happened, but I can't record myself. Sound recorder wont pick up the mic when I try to record. ??????? Anybody?!?! Thanks. |

How did you delete it? Did you use the auto uninstall. If you have windowsXP as your operating system or if you have the "Go Back" application installed, you can revert your hard drive back to a point in time before you installed this application. I am assuming that you recently installed the new application. However, all data and changes made after the point in which you revert your drive will be lost. cheers |

I have win98. I used control panel/add remove programs to remove it. I don't think I have the "go back" (is that what you called it?) fetaure you mentioned. I'm gonna go crazy not being able to record! And yes, I just did this on sunday, and deleted it within about 20 mins of downloading it. I am just not smart (or geeky) enough to know what kind of setting that could've changed. I'm about ready to pull out the ol' baseball bat & hit a home run, but then I could not get on the net anymore either. So I thought I'd ask for help first. Thank you. |

PC karaoke probable modified your system registry files. Try uninstalling your sound recorder application and then install it again. If that does not fix the problem, reinstall the drivers for your sound card. Cheers |
