Mr.Lou: I don't complain about the rankings I get but I have to make an exception right here. The subject is my sub "TRUE".Listen, It was a real strange comment you made on it. I can understand that I didn't fullfill your requirements on emotional delivery. What bothered me was that you insulted the better judgement of 4 other great singers and as you put it in black and white, you were not giving me an 8 because all the others gave me 10's and they were too generous. Is that how you base your rankings?? If that's the case then you should be ashamed of yourself and should be reprimended by the site's moderators. An apology to the singers involved would be very nice. As for me, Ive been singing and playing since way before The Beatles and I'm used to take the good with the bad.
It's a pity that after listening to your subs I didn't hear anything I could use to improve my performances. I wish I had.
It's a shame that a very few go to extremes just to be listened to.
I checked most of your comments and you are the type that gives technical advise on singing and emotional delivery like proper song keys. That would be just fine if you could only back it up with your performances.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, you should be more careful before you decide to be rude with other singers .

I was a bit dismayed at the 5 rank myself. Personally.... I felt it was a very strong performance in every way! Interesting .... I read about a study a while back regarding emotion in singing... and the conclusion of the study was that the emotion was as much a part of the listener as it was the singer. It's so subjective..... I was very moved by the performance..... am I wrong? I must have listened to that song 5 times this morning I loved it so much! I was also glad to hear that tonmay sang it his way and made the song fresh for me rather than a carbon copy of the original! I don't have a problem with subjective opinions DJ.... but I do think it was wrong to lower your rank simply because you felt that the rest of us ranked too high. What if elections were held that way? Well come to think of it... I think that's how Sadam got elected haha!

I must agree with u Tony, I think it's not fair and nice to do that !
U r not the only one by the way !

Maybe should we ask that unfair rank and comments disapears and people that are unfair been warn and without possibility to rank for a while.....

To Sheraoke & freewildspirit:
Time and time again you have showed me by your performances and your comments that you conduct yourselves as real pros. Not only are you great singers but also have a bright intelligence that I truly admire and respect. That's why I got so upset. Mr. Lou has a very long way to go before he can get at least anywhere near your level. His comments were out of line and his ranking on that submission helped to show other singers with talent and integrity, who he really is.
I brought this episode to the Webmaster's attention. Members like that are just making a mockery out of this great idea.
I second Freewildspirit's idea of banning the ranking privilege to those that are rude and don't give any reasonable explanation as the basis of their ranking not to mention disrespect to other singers.
I'm waiting to hear from Mr. Lou and our great boss.

My father always teached me to defend my rights, and be right in everything, to make justice in all the ways when I see something wrong.
U are making part of the BEST men's singers in SS, and u r bringing most that very much. This is why I love to be here, and became a member cause I feel like home with so great people that I LOVE.
What is sad of course it's the behaviour of some, that I really can't understand.
In DTS I have been banned just cause Ive been honest, some made worst over here, but why do I like this site it's because, people can express them selves, and things are regulated in their time, and this site that I will defend comparing DTS that I don't recommand, where people can't speak, can't complaint but just shut up and accept everything .
Thanks to Phil the WEBMASTER cause he is doing a great job, and he answer !

And for still here without been banned yet , means that I am having a good behavior

Because of DJ Lou's Stunt... I am going to put up an (Original) demo of a song that is about to be completed for radio and distrubition that is almost ready to go depending on the My New team's response on the track I just sent them. I realized that you really are for fairness in judging and just not another online "Clique" so to speak. Although in doing this even though this song is a "Live" Showcase song, that is about to become a signature song for me. Even though it was tracked 4 months ago, I will admit putting it up here it may violate some agreements I have with some entities.. but I will deal with them as they can come to me on these issues. They are special people to me (just like family) just like you folks are starting to become. and I hate to see the BS on here. So I hope ya enjoy the song, Just like I have enjoyed the songs ya have put up.

I am sorry if I offended anybody.But after I listen to the song the first time I guess I was expecting more from a 10 rank and from the performance in some parts of the song like the original song. I forgot this is a Karaoke singers showcase at the time I commented and rank. I was just being honest at that time. I didn't think it would cause a big commotion.

Mr. Lou I'm happy to hear from you. The issue here was not the original rank that you gave the performance(5) but the criteria that you used to arrive at it. Remember that you stepped all over the judgement of 4 other singers and subtracted 3 points from what you were going to rank because they were "too Generous".
I think the lesson here to be learned is that we can be honest without being rude or stepping all over others which are entitled to their opinion.
Sheraokee gave us all a great insight into the subject of emotion. Everybody here should recognize that what she said is 100% TRUE!!!
That is why my reply to you was: "SOME PEOPLE GET IT, SOME PEOPLE DON'T".
Let's forget about all this and I hope that the SITE will be more enjoyable for all.
