How is this being calculated? I've done the math and it doesn't look right to me. Also it's interesting because I show an overall 9.9 in my profile and it lists me as 9.8?

I honestly feel the total # of RANKS should come into play as well when calculating. Otherwise,if someone new posts a song and gets 1 ranking of 10 they are automatically #1 on the list. The same goes for Top Ranked Songs. If we are going to have such lists- they should be accurate and fair... or we should just elminate them since this isn't really a competition anyway.

Thanks in advance for looking into it.

JW,

Not to rain on your parade.. but if it's not a competition then why is it an issue.. even I don't pay attention to the lists.. and i don't care.. everybody here knows ya can sing.. do you have an idea that will create this atmosphere to have a little more fun? share it.. i'd love to hear it. I'm sure the admin. would.. the rankings are BS too i agree.. but some would like to see how they think they compare.

i think ya would get the picture. 8)

I noticed that too JW and the thing is for me and everyone else that is on the sight is that you want your sub heard I can tell you when I first came to this sight I listened to the top 10 users after I listened to a couple of the latest subs. I guess the rankings do matter somewhat when it's put in that perspective.

Let me investigate this further...

This appears to be calculating correctly

I will see if I can figure away to configure so that only songs with X amount of comments will be displayed.

Then divide the total ranks by the total comments.

X=?

How many ranks do you think should be the factor?

Currently, X=1 so as soon as a song is ranked it is calculated.

Thanx
Phill

Hi Phil,

Thanks for looking into this. Using me for an example, my overall rating in my profile shows 9.9. . . however, I'm listed as 9.8 in "Top Ranked".

As for comments... I would say at least 3 or more to be fair .... Basically the more a song is ranked highly.. the higher the person should appear on the "Top Ranked" category... Top Ranked as being the keyword.

Thanks,
