Just curious what everybody's using. I Use one of these: ![]() I keep my books, 50 foot python RCA cable, and power cords in the bottom section, mics, batteries, request slips, pencils, pencil sharpener, and various other tools in the middle section, and speaker cables, mic cables, and RCA and VGA cables in the top. I roll it in and all that's left are speakers, pole stands, mixer, and LCD TV. Everything I need or MIGHT need is handy. The yellow dividers are removable and it makes a perfect section for mics. Packs up nice and compactly. |

I would suggest hauling all of your equipment in a 3-way hearse. That way, you can take the casket table out the side and easily unload everything, and you will attract eccentric singers. Eccentric singers are good...we drink too much, thus increasing the profits for the bar. -denise |

never seen that one, thats gotta make life much easier than the old milk crates i used to use. i use this now http://www.odysseygear.com/products/sku/fz1116wdlx.html on the front i only have mic receivers and a bbe, the rest i added drawers with cutout foam for my mics, batteries, computer, pens and slip box, and the bottom is blocked halfway back and it is just tall enough to act like a bookshelf for all my books. the only thing that doesnt fit in it is the Bose itself. |

I think I've posted this pic before but I keep everything in a hard case if possible. Keeps the gear safer and makes for easier for transport. ![]() Mojo |

http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/ ... sku=546224 I keep all of my cables/cords in the top tray of the gator bag. My 2 lyrics monitors, keyboard table, table top, table skirting, tape, batteries, velcro ties, 3/2 adapters, flashlight, tambourine, mics, surge protectors, painters tape and small carpets are all in this bag. GREAT bag that has wheels, and slides on one side so I can slide it into my trailer easily. Only problem, the handle has broken 3 times. They said they would replace the bag this time so I need to get it back to them. It is very heavy once loaded but fits (barely) thru a standard door opening. I use a 2 wheeler (rated at 800 lb) to move my sub and gator bag. I carry my laptops in standard laptop bags, my books in a single plastic crate, my stands in an Onstage bag, my lights and light stand in another Onstage bag. |

Nowadays I just fill my van up with everything and then take it out as I need it. ![]() But when I was gigging I had something similar to what Mojo has. I didn't have all hard case, but you could pretty much roll everything in at once. Everything pre-plugged except mics and speakers, wires pre-staged inside the rack case. Then add speakers, video monitors, and stands, and away you go. |

I use a bag similar to this one: ![]() Made by American Tourister.. picked it up from the Salvation Army Thrift Store for $3.99 In the front pocket I keep two laptop power supplies, and some assorted cables.. and a cheapo digital camera. Inside the main compartment, I keep all 5 of my books (spiral bound), a plastic cup I put pens and slips in at shows, two laptops (Compaq V2000's) a folder with scissors and uncut request slip sheets, a twister mat and spinner board, and a plastic 'pencil box' to hold extra pens and cut karaoke slips.. and a pair of Elvis glasses a regular gave me about a year ago. I slip those on when someone sings an Elvis tune. The zippered 'lid' of the main compartment has a little cargo net area, and I stow my camera case that holds two Seagate FreeAgentGo drives, and my Behringer UCA audio interface. It all fits nicely in a bag I can sling over my shoulder with the included padded strap. I'll have to weigh it.. i'll bet it weighs close to 30 lbs. Been using this rig with this pack for the last 2 years, and the bag has been rock solid.. no rips, tears, broken zippers.. real solid construction. |

I use my "hands" to carry everything,, hehe!! I mean, I keep my hands with me all the time, why not use them? ![]() All my gear that is mountable is in a 16 space rack. The cords stay in 2 duffel bags, and the books, mics and small stuff, go into a small tote. Books are in 2 larger totes with my LCD screen tv in one of them. Speakers,,,well nothing I can do any different there than any of us, I suppose. I have a hand cart that converts from 2 wheels to 4 when needed to push, pull or haul all of the gear, except the gear rack of course. |

Ok now I feel a little silly with what I have been using, altho it does still work. I keep my cdg player and mixer in one tupperware container, separated by a piece of bubblewrap to keep everything from getting too banged up. Then I keep all my cables in a very deep separate container, all my computer gear and hard drive are in a laptop backpack and the rest of the prizes, pens etc are kept in another container. Finally i keep my books in a milk crate.. -James |

We have roller cases with the telescopic handles for our speakers, carry covers for the video monitors, laptop and mixer are in their own case, as well as cdg player. Mics and harddrive are in hardshell cases, speaker stands are in stand cases. Books are in milk crate, 10" color disco balls are in cloth shopping bags, as well as mic cords are in cloth shopping bags. Also have a third shopping bag with video capture device, video converter, monitor cords, all in seperate ziplock bags labeled, etc. I like the case that Ripman posted, might have to look into that to put hardshell cases, and shopping bags into, to eliminate so many trips. Just put all the small stuff in there, and wheel it in. Rosario |

I have my CDG player rack-mounted inside an SKB case. I used to have my Twin Mic receiver rack-mounted in there too (until I had to stop using those Mics (thank you very much, FCC)). All of my wires and loose odds and ends are in a bag similar to waht The Cheese showed (mines longer in dimension). I have a hard case (small attache case style (Brand name Pelican)) for my Mics. Then there's the other heavy stuff... Speakers, Speaker Stands, TV, TV Stand.... |

I've just used plastic bins. I bought some from Walmart that had rollers, but they don't look all that great. I really like your solution Diafel. That seems very convenient. I still would have to keep my plastic toy box for my masks, wigs, hats etc. though. |

Nice pic, Alan! We discovered the Fatmax toolbox during our home renovation, when a friend came over to help with our kitchen counter tops. He brought one in and it had all his tools in it. As soon as we saw the middle section with the removable dividers, we both thought the same thing: "Microphones would fit really well in there!" We asked him where he got his, and the next day we went down to Canadian Tire bought out the entire store stock. They were having an awesome sale on them, with close to $50 off each. I think we bought 5 that day. Hubby uses the others for all his live sound gear. I forgot to mention that I also keep my hard drives in their own cases (one hard, one soft), in the top as well. We have a pole stand bag that we use to carry in the stands. The LCD TV currently lives in a Yamaha soft bag that I think was originally for a foot pedal or light control or some such thing, but I'd like to find a hard case for it. Lappy, of course, has it's own case as well. I'm enjoying see what other solutions people have. Tends to give one ideas! |

I have an ATA road case for my O1V Console, a 4-space ATA Rack for my wireless receivers, another 4-space rack for the amp (I might be adding a stereo 30-Band EQ to this as well). I have an aluminum mic case that I carry the microphones in, a rubbermade container for all my cables, stand bags for speaker, monitor and lighting stands, and the speakers just get carried on their own. |

VERY SIMPLE SET UP Jam, that's my bag. Update on the handle issue. I emailed sweetwater, they contacted the manufacturer, a new bag is on it's way to me with return shipping included for my old bag. I've had the bag for about 17 months. |
