As a frequent Karaoke singer, I'm always looking for a challenge. Does anyone know any good ones that are tough? (male or female! I'm a contralto) Here are some I thought of, but haven't tried yet Snow - Informer INXS - I Need You Tonight/Mediate REM - It's the End of the World Bjork - Human Behavior Cyndi Lauper - I Drove All Night ANy suggestions? |

I can think of some very hard ones--- would you be willing to do opera? (for a contralto, how about some Samson and Delilah or possibly Carmen, just to name a couple) There are CD+G discs which have opera arias that you can sing. They are available through Music Minus One. |

If you're looking for toughies, two that I've been working on that are in the same vein as the REM song you mention are Hook by Blues Traveller and One Week by the barenaked ladies. After a lot of work, I've also mastered Another Postcard by BNL. On those songs you really have to memorize the damn things because they go by so fast. Good luck and have fun! |

Its hard to say which songs are difficult... whats impossible for one is a breeze for another... One you might like to try tho... I don't know if you've heard of the Eurythmics (British 80's band), lead singer Annie Lennox.. They released a track called "There must be an angel playing with my heart" which I have NEVER heard anyone nail. I've had a go at it myself and by the end I was laughing so hard it made my sides hurt |
