I was at a gig, and got this message online from another KJ in my area:
Hey...How's it going? I would really appreciate your guidance...as muchas you can .. I am needing some help. I am trying to do the whole DL on the fly thing, but I'm getting so confused. I have the Mirc program but seems to only work with my home router... how do I get it to work from shows? or is there another program I need to be using or something I'm not doing right. Thinking it is probably me...
Oh man...my reply: Actually I have no experience with that program, so I am no help. BUT, what I do know is it is very very very very very very illegal to do that. No one is looking at this minute, but it is coming soon, as they have already gone after the KJs in Virginia and one other state. You pretty much still have to have a disc for every file you have, or else they will come after you when they finally get to FL. WHen that happens, you will see a lot of hosts disappear and a lot of libraries shrink overnight. That would also help us get back to a living wage with all the illegal competion going legal.
Host reply: THAT'S all i needed to hear... Someone told me that it was completely legal... I am SOOOOO glad I havn't invested all time and money!!! Thank you!!
