So, I am trying to create a songbook for more than 15,000 Karaoke files. I have downloaded Song List Generator and here is the problem. When I import and generate the songlist, the DiscID number is located under "artist" and the artist is listed under "DiscID" and some the artist is listed under the title. Any way of changing this without editing each and every song?
Any help would be great!
Thanks...

Yes sir - Get KJ File Manager from latshawsystems.com. Import all your tracks and it allows you to bulk swap artist/title, artist/disc, title/disc. It's well worth the money - also works with your mp3 files if you want to rename them. I've used it to make sure duplicate songs are named exactly alike and consistent artist description, spelling, etc.

But you shouldn't have to do that -- Latshaw offers a number of options in the Import. Did you not see the dropdown with a choice of 8 alternatives?

Thanks for the replies everyone. This is becoming very frustrating... I have the song book generated now. The other problem I am now running into is that when I rip my karaoke disc to my computer they all show up as "Track1", Track 2", etc ...There has to be a way to rip all these disc with the correct names and Id number. I can't rename every file, it would take months.

I used to split mine between cdgrip (which uses either Fast Tracks songlist maker's database to name them or cddb which is an online database that users have created) or Powerkaraoke which uses cddb to name the files. The other difference between the two is cdgrip is free and powerkaraoke is not.

Both Powerkaraoke and CDGRip will name the files as you rip them. Thunder could ask the same question of SC with their naming their GEM series files correctly as some have the title truncated or not there at all and one disc where they didn't stay in the same naming convention as the rest of the series. There I needed Music Book Deluxe and their Karaoke File Renamer to rename the files so they were uniform and even then I had to edit the database for two songs as MBD got them wrong.

Danny you are correct, I was refering to Moor. Even if you pull them from the data base for naming you still have to "fix" the name if you want it to be disc-track - artist - title, generally using the database for namess it will be Artist - track - title or Title - track - artist. When I rip a disc I "fix" the naming while the next disc is ripping, it takes less time to "fix" the names than it does to rip a disc. Chartbuster has the same issues as the GEM series and that didn't take all that long to "fix" either. But I was refering (as was Moor) to ripping CDGs not dragging and dropping large numbers of files in one operation.

Then of course if the tracks he is ripping have never been loaded to any data base all he will get is Track 1, etc.

Not getting this.. For future reference:
If you are talking a bout a song list generator for creating a song book, you are doing it the hard way.
If you have ripped DISCS to your HD, then get something like KJ Pro songbook software, which operates off of a database. You don't have to worry about the way the discs or tracks are named as they are ripped. Simply type in the disc number and click- all tracks are entered.
Did I miss something?
