Over the years in many venues in this area I have met many friends.

Question... If you were trying to setup a reunion what would be the best way to find them? Most were never on the internet and I doubt if they are now.. Other than the thrifty nickle or classifieds I dont have a clue.... Ideas?????

Those ways may work, but the grapevine can work pretty well too! I'm always amazed how fast word of a new karaoke venue can spread. Singers keep track of fellow singers and kj's pretty well.

We did a reunion last year that was totally awesome. The only problem was having a bar FULL of karaoke singers!! Some didn't get to sing at all that night! We used the grapevine and phone chain to find everyone. If you have the number of one or two people that know one or two others and so on, you could probably end up with a very good showing!

If you get that kind of response, you should hold it at a place with two rooms. Then you have two of the inevitable KJs that will be there host the shows in separate rooms, so everyone can sing.

And next time we could...this was a hotel bar where we've been for 17 yrs. So it was the bar's reunion as well as our own. The place has just opened a room right next to the bar!! So, good suggestion!! In two more years we will be doing the 20 yr! And two rooms will work great! thanks!! :D

Six degrees of separation. Somebody you still regularly talk to can get em down the line. Takes a lot of legwork and followup.

There are "people finder" sites all over the internet, with addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, etc. Even if someone has never been on the internet, you can at least find out how to contact them.

The best thing I've found for finding long lost friends and relatives is Facebook. I had been looking for years for some people and could never find them.
Within a week on Facebook, we reconnected.
Even though many aren't on the internet, some could be, and all it takes is one, and then they tell the rest.
