I seem to be losing a little volume thru my system could the sound card on the lap top be about to go out on me or do they even give you a warning before they die? |

they might possibly do that! But in my experiences, I've had crackling, or just flat out no sound at all! It's a good idea to have backup parts for your pcs... so that you CAN uninstall and reinstall a new one. You MIGHT try redoing the drivers on that... powering the PC down and reseating the card. |

No, I don't think so. They don't get "weak". It is either an adjustment or your speakers and amp. I would bet that a dial -- virtual or not -- just got twisted, myself. My laptop has a little knurled volume knob next to the output. |
