I have seen some reviews that the 3000L is equal to the SM58. Does anyone have an opinion . Basically what is the best wired mike for the money??
Thanks...

dbros9,

Mics are like underwear, some like boxers, some like briefs, some don't wear any.

Sounds like a good mic, AT doesn't really put out bad mics, but you should know what you are comparing it to.

The SM 57 and 58 are not as much great mics as they are staples in the industry. They became popular because they are durable, versatile, cheap and consistent in sound quality. I can name 15 dynamic mics that are "better" then the SM58 but are no as revered.

You can't go wrong with most good brands in the $100 range. AT, Audix, Shure, Sennheiser, even Samson make some very good and versatile mics in the $70-100 range. It's a matter of flavor, which one you feel best with.
Maybe go to your local music store and a/b a few mics see what you like.

A lady once asked me if I wore briefs or boxers. Thought for a moment and said, "Depends".
