Which I find a little ironic given my history with Barry. In 1974 I had fallen hard for the Walrus of LOVE. That's right, I had a brief fling with the velvety voiced maestro during my junior year in high school. He had a bad habit of stopping in and eating everything in my kitchen. He would drop by and the first thing he would do is raid the fridge. I was getting pretty sick and tired of this routine when one day he stood at my open fridge eating the last bit of Watergate salad. I remember feeling like enough is enough...he then paused, looked up at me and told me that he wrote me a song. My ears perked and I slowly stopped clacking my Clackers....I said "lay it on me Barry!"
Then he started singing "My darlin' I...can't get enough of your love babe" I was thinking hmm... this is a really cool song, perhaps I'll forgive him for squirting the last of the squeeze cheese down his velvet throat. Just as I started to get all tingly he starts singing "Girl, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know why, can't get enough of your love babe"
....and right here I stop him.
I say "HOLD IT THERE BARE!" He looks at me with those puppy dog eyes and takes a swig of milk right from the carton--and with his deep bass voice and milk mustache lips he says "what baby?"
I say, "what do you mean, you don't know why?" He says "what do you mean, what do I mean? It's just a song baby.."
And I was all "You don't know why? Seriously?"
And he was all "What's wrong baby?"
That's when I knew. Barry and I were like.... through.
That song still makes me mad.

as to me well 2008 wont go down as my favourite year 
It all started with a few song lyrics and a phone conversation with Mikey about how he practically chipped a tooth while playing with a pair of Clackers during the 70's.
