| when connecting a lap top to a mixer amp which input on the mixer do i use i have got a Behringer PMP3000 so do i plug it into the cd/tape input? thanks in advance | |

| you could, or you could get 1/4" adaptors for the RCA connections... assuming you have the connection to go from the computer to rca... | |

| No, don't plug it into the CD/Tape input. There is no real equalization or level control there. I have the PMH3000, which is the earlier model of the same thing. On that one, Channels 9/10 and 11/12 have both an RCA jack and 1/4" input with an A/B switch to select between the two. I use 11/12, and put my effects processor in on 9/10. As mentioned, you can get a 1/8" stereo to two 1/4" mono cable (I recommend the Hosa 10 foot) and that will allow you to plug it into *any* mixer's stereo channel. That is the cable I use for my laptop, though I use the RCA for my desktop. | |

You may have to get RCA to 1/4" cords or adapters. The cd/tape input is more designed to have music playing for bands when they are on break so the soundman can dedicate all the channels for the instruments & singers. | |
