Well, almost. I've still seen a couple spam posts in the intro thread. You think this forum is bad? Try my car forum with the rules they have. :shock: But it's great, cuz we have a VERY well run forum. |

Unfortunately - I can't stop all of the SPAMMERS but we are trying. Posting to the forums is part of the interaction that this site is all about. What really "sucks" is all the stuff that I have to go through to stop SPAMMERS from attacking the site. But thankfully we have a bunch of wonderful members that make the effort all worth it!

It is so that spammers won't create an account, and then on their first post pollute the main forum areas with spam. The automated spamming programs don't know they have to post here first, so they try the other forums and strike out. |

It also foils spam bots. They can only auto post in generic forum headings. |

We used to 10 or more of those spams a day; some with very interesting pictures. I sometime miss them tho'
