My question is probably simple for some of you!~ Lol:) My great nephew came over today and played with my computer and played with the Adobe Audtion 1.5 that I have. But neglected to tell me that he messed it up... I am looking at the Adobe 1.5 and there is usually a 'RED' box so that I may record me singing- However, the 'RED' box is no longer there!~ All that is there now is one box that say's 'S' and another that say's 'M'-they are both in a green color- not sure if that makes a difference... If you can help me I sure would be happier!~ I THANK YOU !~ Lost in Adobe Land....DEE |

Hi Dee, dont have audition on my system at the moment. Also you are a bit vague. Click the left hand icon & see if it brings back your regular screen. Switches modes. |

dee tell me what is missing on your screen compared to this picture cos if everything else is there it maybe that the soundcard has been deselected in record mode |

Hi Lady Vicki, So sorry I was gone-company came and just left a few minutes ago!~ Ok, I see the RED box (record) on the picture, however it is not on my adobe no longer-I do have the letters: 'S' and 'M' but NOT the 'R' for 'RECORD"!~ I have no idea what he touched. Talk with you soon

Dee I would suggest you go to the drop down menu options right up the top and select device order. Ensure your soundcard is the only thing in the right hand box for both record and playback if it is missing from there it may be your soundcard has dropped its drivers. if your soundcard is listed in the left box/window for both record and playback but not in the right box/window then click on it then click use and it will move it to the right hand window If you have wave mapper in the right hand window I suggest you remove it. |

Hi lady Vicki, I did what you suggested and it seems to be ok... The right side (box) under Options/Divice Order--and on the right side it states: 1st realtek AC97 Audio (EV) The left box : Wave Mapper I've been trying all sorts of way's that I thought he'd mess up- but to no avail!~ Geez, I wish my brother didn't let him use it..He's only 7 yrs.old... Most of my songs have been put in another folder, yet , still looking for them>>> I thank you so much for your help. I just don't know what he did to it... Thank you sweetie:) |

Ok hun...I went back and looked at the pic again... You see under the words: Edit View/ Multitrack/ CD Project View as the pic shows under these words suppose to be track?/ R for Record (it's not there-the little red box) S- is there as well as M The one that is missing is the R=record? Also at the top of where you're suppose to see 'R' for record...R - S- M----on top of that in the pic shows: Vol/EQ/Bus--mine only say's: Vol and EQ--with arrows and when I hit an arrow it then say's: EQ and Bus....I have no idea where all three are....like the pic shows--Vol/EQ/Bus? Not sure if this could be the problem? I also see the small blue boxes on the pic--I'm not sure what it say'son the left one-can't see it to well, it say's LOCK And the other blue box say's "FX', that, too is not there....There are no blue boxes at all... Man oh man I am at my wits end---I will keep looking and trying differnt ways....Maybe my sons will be by Sunday and maybe they can take a look at it--I am so sorry I am giving you troubles dear heart 
Geez it's 2:00am and been trying to fIx this problem and still unable to...Wow-I don't usually get upset-however I am now...  !~:)

Dee. Do you still have the original Audition installation file and serial number? Would uninstalling Audition then reinstalling it be possible for you to do? I mean if all else fails. |

yep sounds like a reinstall would be in order...I would normally suggest I try and remote you but since I upgraded my machine and bought a router I havent had success in connecting to another computer so that wouldnt be sucessfull
not sure if it would help but if you are running xp you could try a system restore to a point before the brat... err nephew was allowed to touch try that and see if it helps |

Dear Odie, Yes, that is what I will most likely do...I also thank you!~ Lady Vicki, yes, I will reinstall and see if Ihave success...YES, he is a bratt also !~ No manners at all...Lol;) My sons are coming over for dinner alittle later and will show this to them They know more about this then I do.
