Just swtched to win 10 a d found that the usb dongle isn't being recognized. Any solutions?

What does this "Dongle" do?

They're for software piracy protection. 1980s technology. You can use the software as long as the dongle is attached to one of the computer's ports. Not a fan. If the dongle breaks, you have to wait until another is shipped to you. Also, as he's now discovering, sometimes an OS upgrade can screw you as well, because it suddenly can't see the dongle.

Maybe time to switch to a Windows 10 compatible app that doesn't use dongles.

I can think of a couple of software's that have used this. One was Compuhost and the other is Chip's Songfinder. If it's Compuhost you can download the hybrid version of it and convert it to the gen II version that doesn't require the dongle on a computer that doesn't have windows 10 on it.
