Hey gang, long time no see. A few months back based on some recommendations, I visited the SBI karaoke website. Killer selection, not bad on the pricing for what they have. So I get a friend of mine to place an order for some of the NIN stuff they have. Okay, now this is back in Dec. Here we are today and still no confirmation, no answer to phone calls, no answer to emails, and yes they have already charged his CC account. Now to be honest, I haven't searched the forums for other topics on this site, so if the trains already left the station and I'm out of the loop on this subject, oh well my bad, but then again, tuff sheeit, I'd still like to hear from someone who's actually had some dealings with this company. All I want is either the music that my friend paid for, or his CC charged back and I'll wipe my hands clean of them. Now some of you may ask, well if you did it in Dec. how come you're just bringing it up now...well the answer to that, is my friend has been on business in China for the past month. I believe he placed the order right after xmas and had to leave the states right after New Year, but he has still tried to get in contact with them, but without result. He finally got back this past Monday and today is the first chance I've had to talk with him about it. Thanks for your time, I hope everyones doing great, sorry to just pop in and (@$%!) then head back out, but I'm sure you understand my concern. Thanks again, James maninblack |

I know when I ordered my AIC disc they did tell me it would take minimum 6-8 weeks, which it was closer to 8 weeks when I finally received. So I wouldn't give up all hope yet. |

Okay, cool deal Lonman, thanks. The only problem that I still have is that we ordered the downloads and they were suppose to send us a confirmation via email. I mean we have no record of the transaction, they never sent a purchase confirmation or statement, nuttin. But thanks again man, I really appreciate it. James |

James Hmmm, you should have had some kind of confirmation email. That's strange. I know others who have used them as well with no probs. so hopefully it's just because they're backlogged or something. |

I bought a CD of their stuff took about 6 weeks to arrive, but was good quality music (this was about 5 months ago). Apparently select-a-track sells a lot of the SBI tracks at about the same cost as direct from SBI for download (or custom cd). (2 pounds or about $4 a song) I bought some SBI tracks last week through select-a-track download. Select a track had me downloading the (SBI) songs within 15 minutes. I got another 20 or so David Bowie songs that I think are made by no-one else this way. A whole bunch of the SBI tracks are ones that can not be found anywhere else, and so far I cant say anything bad about the sound or lyric quality. Sometimes international e-mails involving "you have purchased or other business deals" can be blocked by spam filters and that could have been the problem.... |

Guys, can't thank you enough for your speedy response on this issue. I have written them via my email in hopes of contacting them and completing the purchase. Will post their response if and when it becomes available. Thanks again, James maninblack |

I've ordered two discs from them... loved them. ANd yes, it does seem to take longer. I'd contact them tomorrow, though. TWO months is ridiculous! |

They did respond to my email on Friday. They emailed my friend back apologizing for the confusion and would solve this ASAP. But what they didn't say was if they were gonna allow him to directly download the material or if they were going to burn a disc and send it to him.....you know I love the selection that this site has, but my god could they be any more confused and disorganized. So I guess once again we're in hurry up and wait mode. I just feel bad that I got my friend involved in any of this but he had the highspeed and I didn't. So we'll just have to wait and see folks, thanks again for your input. James maninblack |

I'll admit that finding songs on that site is a pain. Try emailing them and asking for a spreadsheet of their available songs. Be careful. I think in the listing will also be those from their regular sbi site that does normal backings without karaoke graphics or lyrics. So you have to be VERY specific about what you're asking for! |

Hi James Ive been purchasing discs & some downloads from SBI for a few months now, the service I have received has been exceptionally good. Jim, Mel & the team at SBI are most helpful & address any problems immediately & satisfactorily, when contacted by email. I live in Australia & it takes about 3 weeks to receive discs, sometimes it can vary & be quicker than this. Jim is great at listening to customer needs of new song releases, which is testimony to the comprehensive song library they have. James, I am very satisfied with the service & product from SBI & do not hesitate in ordering from them. Regards Janeen |

Well we finally got three of the six tracks that we ordered, with a note saying that the rest would follow soon.........that's been four days ago now....WTF Come on people, I'm sorry, but I beg to differ on this exceptional and immediate response that you folks keep bragging about. I'm just not seeing it. What I see is a very disorganized group of individuals with no sense of urgency what so ever. They have the money but for some odd reason can't seem to get their act together to fulfill the obligation of service. So let me put it this way, if you ran your karaoke business the way these folks run theirs, how long would you last in the market. The only leverage they have is that they have a killer selection of some NIN and David Bowie tunes. Trust me, if I could get this material from any other source, I would do it and this company would not get another dime of my money. So if you by chance know these folks, tell them to get their act together. I have to run my shows on a time schedule, that's how I get paid, I can't do it when I feel like getting around to it. I expect the companies I do business with to have the same attitude and sense of urgency. James maninblack |

what you're describing is certainly not unique. Over at the SCBB site, someone recently complained of a problem with the new Austrailian custum disc site. Despite a few others saying how good the service was, this one guy got skrewed over. ANd I can't say I blame you. I just know I never had any issues with them! Sorry James! |

As of this writing, we still have not been able to get our other three tunes from these guys. They sent an email saying they were available at some third party website, sendit something dot com, but there was nothing there?????? So after this transaction, these folks can kiss my arse. I did however check out Select A Track and they had almost everything that I wanted from SBI to begin with, plus some other killer stuff I had been looking for. So I ordered up something like 12 tunes, which was about 56 bucks including their VAT charge and shipping. Lot of money for so few tunes, but hey I don't really care as long as they deliver the goods. But if I'm not mistaken their rates are cheaper than SBI for the same songs. But hey where else am I gonna find tunes like 'Five Years' and 'Moonage Daydream' by Bowie on karaoke? Got some Alice in Chains and Soundgarden and even some Rammstein while I was there, so yeah I'm a happy camper But forget SBI, they'll never get another dime from me directly, but hell yeah I'll be a hypocrite and order their stuff from another website... ![]() later, James maninblack |

And hey, a huge thanks to everyone on this. Even the folks that recommended SBI, I mean if I hadn't gone there, I wouldn't have known about the Bowie stuff, so it's all good in my book. I just didn't want folks to think I was dissin them over this. If you've had positive transactions with them, hey that's great, I'm only sorry mine didn't turn out the same way. And thanks for the hookup on Selectatrack, I imagine I'll be doing some business with them on a regular basis. So I just wanted to let you know although I was pissed at SBI, I of course didn't mean to sound crass or ungrateful for everyones help, I really appreciate it. Take care, James maninblack |

I know it is great, Bowie is the most sung artist at my shows.... I got the Moonage song just last month along with several other bowie songs from select a track (now up to 62 different Bowie songs). Someone sang it at my show last night. Sound quality was great. As far as I can tell SBI is the only company that has made at least 30 of those Bowie songs. Already in just 5 shows, about 6 of the new Bowie songs have been sung at least once, many several times. A couple of them I didn't really know myself but my singers did. And that was with my main Bowie fanatic regular singer out of town. Even at about $4 a song it is worth it over having a bunch of songs that won't get sung. |
