Hello all.

I am absolutely a novice karaoke type. I recently bought my wife roughly 100 Sweet Georgia Brown CD's and about 20 others. In all likelihood I will never buy any more CD's. We just want a good collection for the 2x per year we have friends over and are in the mood.

SO.... we have all these CD's, but no easy to navigate catelog for our guests to browse to choose what music they want to sing. I know there are several commecial software options, but since I won't be updating my list, I really really don't want to drop $50 or $100 to creat a song list.

Would somebody be willing to help me creat a list? Maybe email me a PDF or word doc if I were to tell you what CD's I have in my collection? ... This would definately count as your good deed for 2007.  : )

my email address: styrsky@yahoo.com if you have questions.

Thanks in advance!

if that's all you have, you should be able to find some online resources... just cut and paste!

well. I could do that. But ... it wouldn't be alphabatized correctly and wouldn't look as nice as I'd like. I'm sure its doable ... but it would be nicer if somebody has a snazzy program they could help me out with.

Easiest way willl probly be to type all the songs into EXCELL, then sort them ad print. Sounds like youll only have 1200 entries or so. Not really very many. Might take a few nights of typing. YOu can go online to get a complete print out of the artisists and song titiles of the SGB's and others and then type from that into excell.

I could create it in KJ Pro, but i think you would have to have it to open and use. It's $99.  Then the next problem is you would have to pay for updates if you wanted the newest discs to be there in the KJ Pro data base.  Other than that you would have to type in the unlisted discs. I do it (type) because i don't want to keep $$$$ updating.

Google is a wonderful thing, why in mere seconds I found PDF files of the 66 disc SGB collection in song book format. One by Artist and one By Title.
This would be a quick start for you....if you PM me with your email addy I will send them both to you. :oh yeah:

Take a look at www.pcsongster.com.  You can load your CD's to your computer hard drive and off you go.  Use your ear phone jack to output the sound and use a TV or your computer screen for the lyrics.

You will get a list when you load the songs and you can also cut an paste to an Excel file and print
