We have one gal that puts that in & does the dance.  We have another guy who puts in Alley Cat & sits at the mic & where you would think lyrics would come in he takes a deep breath, pulls the mic to his mouth, looks down then looks around like, where are the lyrics.  He knows there are none on this particulat version but does it throughout the whole song!  His friends razz him about being the best song he sings  LMAO

Just goes to show you how different every area is. In our region, we have *lots* more country. Some of the top 10 are virtually never done, and only "Love Shack" would make the top 20 around here.

Some of the most frequent ones here not listed in that list:

You Never Even Called Me By My Name
  Don't Close Your Eyes
  Total Eclipse of the Heart
  Folsom Prison Blues

All those are top 10 material around here. And a couple of those I have heard even in my trips to the city....

And come to think of it, I would be surprised if that was a 2007 list, as "Before He Cheats" has got to be in anyone's top 10 list this year -- I don't care where you are from.

I believe that list came from the Mobile Beat web site and is a DJ top 200 song list.

It is a great tool for us though....what people wanna hear, sooner or later they wanna sing. I use it as a guide for my music purchases.

That list is pretty right on. The only one on the list I've never heard is the 50 cent song. Most of the rap I hear sung is old school - Baby Got Back, Ice Ice Baby

Every place has it's own favorites. I dont think more than 5 of the top 50 have been sung at my shows (admittedly I have only done about 14 shows so far).

There is a lot of them that certainly belong on the list, but there are also many that are missing..:)  Using the list as an idea generator is a great idea.  It's best to keep up with what's popular.......many time that translates into what's going to be sung.  There are many flashes in the pan though, that are poplular for about 10 days, then you never hear the song again.  As far as the 50 Cent song, when I'm on my game or when there is a birthday in the house...I may get suckered into doing it.  It used to be one of my regulars.  I like doing several Eminem songs too.  Many will say, they're not even songs...which I almost would have to agree...but as far as level of difficultly, they are without a doubt much harder to 'nail it' than most of the actual music out there.  There is definately a level of talent there, that unless you've tried it, you don't understand.  I'm out of practice and can't do them so well anymore.  There I'm off my soap box...ehheheheeh!  Love the list.......MrD
