Some friends and I are travelling to LV Dec 29 - Jan 3. We're looking for some good shows in the Las Vegas area. Any suggestions? |

This should have all the KJ/venue listings you could POSSIBLY want in Vegas: http://lvlem.com/contactus.html or http://www.karaokestarmagazine.com/Wher ... ing_lv.htm Contact Las Vegas Lounge Entertainment Mag and see if you could buy a copy and have them mail it to you before u go. That would be your most complete reference. Should be able to have a real good KARAOKE PUB CRAWL out there! |

Check out TJs Show at Harrah's. He starts at 6 PM with an hour show of him and his people doing Star Impersonations, and then the next 2 hours are open Karaoke. His was one of the most enjoyable shows that I went to. |

Ellis Island off the Strip has Karoke every night. It runs from 9pm to it think 3 or 4am. Not too bad if your used to a standard karaoke system of yamaha tops and no subs standing in a corner with a wired mic. Imperal Palace has Karaoke every night. The sound isn't bad and there is a big stage to perform on. Rotation can be 50 people long. I think Karaoke runs 9PM to 2AM The Hard Rock Hotel has Karaoke on Select nights. The sound is Incredible the song selection isn't that great only 15000 or so songs and not much Sound Choice. |

I stayed at the Imperial, but went next door to TJ's show. That's at his show... at their Piano Lounge! |

I have to agree with the piano bar at Harrah's. When we were ther in August it was 6-9. If you want to sing you better sign up early. Long rotation but great crowd and very entertaining. It was also about 10 bucks per drink. That's Vegas. |

When I went to the Karaoke show at the Imperial Palace (I believe the Bar is called Tequilla Joe's), I had a bad experience. There was no method to the KJ's Rotation, and he took BRIBES. I was with several people from another Karaoke Forum. We all thought it was bad. |

When I'm in Vegas I party and I take tons of $$ an average trip I spend $10K. I'll throw a $100 to a kj there to sing 3 songs in 2 hers vs the normal 1. Heck the Dualing Piano guys usually get $500 from me. $100 tip seems cheap. Its Vegas unlike the rest of the wold money talks and if your cheap or don't have the cash to spend you shouldn'r be there. I'll see you all there for the DJ Times Show in Feb. Make it a trip you could learn something. |

TJ does a show after the one at Harrahs... and that's totally a regular karaoke show! We just walked to where he was going... had a blast that night! |

Does this guy ever post anything without assigning a DOLLAR figure to everything ? |

dunno, but I found his comments about the tip/bribe offensive! for some reason, JUST because it's Vegas doesn't sit right with me. This is a karaoke COMMUNITY, and I dislike exceptions. So I avoid the hucksters, and flock to the shows, EVEN IN LAS VEGAS, that follow the kind of conditions we tend to want as a community! |

Fitzgeralds had a good show, the rotation was moderate too. Imperial Palace, I could;ve done without, cliched songs by the tourists and the rotation killed it for me. Places wouldn't play my travel cdg though. |

Been to vegas one time and beside gambling did visit 2 shows I found the ones in the bigger casinos filled with pro singers from the various shows in the area and the rotation for TOURISTS JUST WAY too long . But I guess if you want an audience to sing to --1 song a night is ok But HECK I'm in VEGAS BABY ...I'm not wasting my time for 2 hours to sing 1 song while I have to sit and listen to the pro's and friends of the KJ. |

Make it a trip you could learn something. And there are plenty of shows in Vegas where the KJs work an HONEST SHOW by running a FAIR ROTATION. I've been to several of them!!!! Your post is VERY CONDESCENDING AND INSULTING!!!! I hope you have fun spitting in my face while I'm playing by the rules and waiting patiently for my turn, and you're throwing your money out just so that you can sing before me. Vegas Karaoke is no different for any other City. You have your good KJs and the ones who only care about making a few extra bucks from people like YOU! |

I don't know that there are any universal karaoke rules, but there are spiritual rules and rules of human nature. Time wounds all heels, so they will get their just desserts, never fear. |
