Coca Cola will clean a windshield with grease and tree sap better than anything And few weeks ago I bought the expensive carpet cleaner from Safeway and went through the process of cleaning an old carpet. It was So-So..
Last night I had a 2 litre plastic bottle of Dr Pepper on the floor (lid not tight) I discovered I had knocked it over and there was a 6" by 1 foot spot. Today it is the cleanest spot in the room.
Beer doesnt do this and wine really stains it. Has anybody else experienced this phenonunom?

Wow that's pretty cool. Nope I've never tried it. LMAO
I have used milk to get out ink stains though. It works great on painted or wall papered walls.

Mythbusters did a "Cola Myths" show a while back...they thought it did really well as a chrome polish...better than a purpose-designed product

My grandpa worked in a plant doing mechanic work for 40 years. My grandma always poured a can of coca cola into the wash when she did his work clothes. They always came out nice and clean without any signs of grease. She did however, complain a lot when they did the whole "New Coke" thing and she claimed that the new Classic coke wasn't nearly as good as the original for cleaning the grease from his clothes....

I think everyone's heard the penny in the glas of coke that disolves the metal... I've heard that they use Coke to clear off blood stains on highways... sheesh.

well as a Coca-Cola fanatic, I've heard that too, Matt!
Did you know that trucks carrying in the concentrated syrup have to take the Dangerous Goods Route?

My mom gave me an article once she had come across... and it listed ALL of those uses for coca cola.... and also, they say it's the BEST thing to use to clean your toilet. LMAO The acidity in it is supposed to be better than anything else. Yup, I've heard about it being used for blood on the highway too.
Scary thought... good thing I'm a Pepsi/Dr Pepper gal when I do decide to have a soda water..... coke is gross anyhow. *blech*

oh man... COKE is SOOO much better than Pepsi!! I don't know how to explain it.... but Coke has that taste.... it's a soda taste that follows the initial sweet taste.... Pepsi just doesn't have it. It just has the sweet and then that's it.
mind you... I'm sure that's the reason most ppl don't like Coke, but to me... it just screams "summertime" for some reason.
I guess it depends on what you're used to. I grew up on Coke, so it reminds me of being little at the lake with my dad drinkin out of the glass bottles.
*sniff, sniff* I smell a Coke/Pepsi war coming on

I am a Diet Pepsi gal myself. To me Coke and Pepsi are as different as rootbeer and 7up. They are just two different drinks.
I grew up on Tab. Talk about bad soda. LMAO Tab in the old days was horrible. I know they've change it now quite a bit. It sort of tasted like gasoline and terpentine, but it was the only diet soda available.

I do find it odd most of the countries in the world use pepsi in their rum and cokes.

That's probably when they switched from plain old sugar to high-fructose corn syrup...
