He did something really cowardly a long time ago (around 1939) in Kansas with a little girl (and her dog too). I saw the movie about him ! Due to the nature of the ominous event most of the case took place in a remote location.

What scares me Jerry is as many times as I've looked this up, Jack Haley (Tin man) in the Wizard of Oz didn't even sound familiar.. Pretty weird considering this trivia question is so common, and I HAVE at times in the past known the three were Lahr, Haley, and Bolger

After being at actual events and the next day reading the erroneus media reports I do know that media jurors are the most misinformed and the most dangerous.

Which is why even in 1939, they couldn't hold the trial in Kansas !

Added In:
Just did a quick search.
It was first re-released to movie theatres in 1949 by MGM (when it earned yet more money and became a bigger success than before), and again in 1955 by MGM (in a pseudo-widescreen version). It was sold to TV the following year, and was not given a major theatrical re-release again until 1998, when it was released by Warner Bros. (Who currently own the rights to the film via their Turner Entertainment subsidiary). It was re-released again in 2006, but only in the United Kingdom.

I'm a sci-fi channel lover. I haven't had the chance to catch the "Tin Man" episodes yet though. I heard it's pretty good, but the actors aren't so great.
Matt - Have you seen "Lost Room"? Really well done. If you ever rent it you won't be able to stop watching it untill you've seen every episode.
