I atracted considerable comment in the past that I started out doing karaoke for free.

While I am still only charging my bar drinks, I have begun doing private parties. I did my first last night, and they gave me $250 (i said just pay what you want if anything because it was for a friend). I must have done well that night because I booked two more paying gigs.

My regular show is doing well and my number of different singers has grown over two months from 10-15 when I started to 25-35 in the last couple of weeks.  It seems I have am developing a good reputation.

Way to go Dr. Fred. It won't be long before all your gigs will be paid.  :hi5:

That's great that you are getting paying gigs!!  I have a friend that does shows for free for his friends.  He is awesome!!!  But he loves doing it and thinks it is fun. So I guess he wins too because he gets to play with his toys!!
