That seems so strange. I wonder why they did that?

Because the tigers schizofriendly too  :)

Animal behaviourists do all sorts of studies I suppose.   Actually for some reason the first thing I wondered is just how cold the environment needs to be for that particular breed of Cat... 40's tops ?

My first thought was "snackage".  :yum:
LOL

I'm not sure what type of environment they require.

Here is an interesting article:

There aren’t many places in the world where you can touch a fully-grown tiger, but the monks at Thailand’s Tiger Temple allow you to get up close and personal with their domesticated brood of big cats

LOL   I'm thinking of "snackage" here too.  Assuming they feed their cats "Tourists" they can save a substantial sum on catfood

That's adorable.

When I was a kid, my twin brother's kitten was "best friends" with my German Shepherd/Husky mix. (She was huge like a wolf). After she had puppies, his cat nursed on her long after the pups were gone. Bear (the dog) used to carry the cat all over the yard either in mouth by scruff of the neck, or riding on her back. When she carried her in the mouth, the cat looked really floppy and we all thought oh no, she killed her. LOL  They used to "play fight" it was so weird and hilarious. Then they would lie down, the cat would suckle and they would go to sleep. They were both females, it was so "odd" to us.  LOL

got bored a couple of nights ago so i googled webcams and found that quite a few folks around the world have attatched mini cams to their cat's collars then  they broadcast the images to the web.  google cat cams and you'll find a vast array of these sites.  they're actually a fun way to waste time!  i'd put one on either of my cats, but all you'd see is the place they sleep.  they're very boring cats!

The squirrel in the nursing litter photos are funny,  but it just goes to confirm what many with birdfeeders, (or any other setting where they feed wildlife) already know

Where there's food to be found, keeping squirrels out is VERY difficult.. those things are the ultimate moochers and when it comes to a meal,  VERY crafty  LOL
