"Merry Christmas from the Family" is a local favorite.  originally by robert earl keen, i think the karaoke version says it's by montgomery gentry.

also "Christmas Cookies" by george strait.  my wife loves that one.

What child is this. It's slow and sappy, but a beautiful song!

"O' Holy Night"
"Jingle Bell Rock"
"Do You Hear What I Hear"... probably one of the most powerful Christmas songs that always gives me the chills when hearing it, let alone singing it!

Woo Hoo! What a high note on the end. You must be wearing your tighty whiteys to hit that note.  LMAO

You are so sweet to sub that song, thank you. I'll consider it my Christmas present.

you should have heard my first try... I'm naturally a tenor, and this song is really intended for baritones... I tried to adjust pitch and key and it just got worse and worse...

my first attempt was totally first tenor... I think I put every cat in the neighborhood in heat! ((heheheh))

I tried the same song and subbed it someplace over in Singers Forum..  If you were able to get the cats down from the tree's my attempt scared them up into,  that's pretty good !

My most fav has always been *away in a manger*.. I love that song. I have a bluegrass version and the music to that song sounds pretty sweet on a fiddle.

My newest fave is *put a little holiday in your heart* by Leann Rimes, loving that one at the moment...

But heck, I've never heard a christmas song I don't like, I love this time of year:)

I started singing mostly Christmas songs the day after Thanksgiving. My songbooks have a separate section just for Christmas songs and I sing about half of them. I have Elvis's Christmas CD which is my favorite and all the same songs and arangements on a Karaoke CD. I put on my official Elvis sunglasses (bought at a shop in front of Graceland) and I just go crazy with it every Christmas.

One other favorite of mine is to sing is " You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch" if there are children around.  Actually I sing it without children around too.
