I ran over to Walgreens to get this yrs flu shot. Very cool how they now have the inactive virus shot. You don't have to worry about posssibly getting a slight case of the flu from the shot anymore. Man my arm is killing me. I swear she used a cannon to inject the shot. Aaaarg !

Yep, I had mine about a month ago or so.  I've had a flu shot every year since 1982.  They seem to work for me.  At least they don't hurt as much as a tetanus shot!

Odie - How long will my arm hurt? It is the next day and it is still sore.

I haven't had a shot in years, but I don't remember them ever hurting this much.

It shouldn't hurt as bad as you say, with 1 to 2 days being the max. Are you allergic to eggs? Make sure it's not infected. Watch for red lines or redness moving outward and away from the injection site. Anything out of the ordinary, call a physician, or call the pharmacist from place you got it from....could be a not very well trained person gave you the shot.......do not rule out the fact that.....you may be a wuss..... LOL ....seriously, allergic reactions, and infection are serious matters that need immediate attention...........I could numb it for you...... num num num num num num num num........

It feels better today. Judy told me I should have rubbed it after they injected me. (Oh please don't comment on that) LMAO

I figured I should not rub it because it would make it worse. silly me.

Same here..  But they called the police when I dropped my pants and bent over. Evidently I showed up on the wrong day.

At my neighborhood bar you have to be at least 21 to get a shot of anything.

Changed my mind.... LOL ....I don't see how rubbing "it", could make your arm better.....but it would sure take your mind off of it for about twelve to fifteen minutes.......I've read that's about average, as apposed to my three minutes...hey........can a woman even fake one, and convince herself..... LMAO

I thought that they'd been using the inactive virus for quite some time now.

Of course,  look at it this way,  You are my age and married !  You are able to pretend there's a woman involved, right ?  The imagination is a strong tool and it's the only strong tool we have left !

Something to do with counting the rings, oh wait, thats for tree's...or is it for determining the winner of a Stevie Nicks look alike contest. I'm so confused...what was the question again?

Geez, that was the wrong question.  Sorry folks!

I think the question was when was the last time Kappy shaved her legs.  Yup, that was it!

Well it may still be hurting because you haven't had a flu shot in years. A doctor once told me that you will get a stronger reaction to a vaccination if it has been a long time since your previous one.  Your immune system hasn't seen "this critter" in a long time so it's fighting back harder.  Maybe my old doctor flunked Immunology 101 so don't take this to the bank!  LOL

That's what I always thought too.
