PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO ANY COUNTRY MUSIC SINGERS IN CALIFORNIA YOU KNOW I have been contacted by the producers of American Idol. They are developing a new talent contest show for early next year (similar to American Idol) and they need California singers for the show. The new show will be a talent contest but all contestants have to compete as COUNTRY DUOS. There will be a ONE DAY AUDITION to be held in Nashville on January 12, 2008, and all contestants must be available to travel to Nashville and audition on this day…however for a very limited time (until mid-December ) the producers will accept video auditions (and a very select few may get to audition live) here in California. Those selected in the video (or live) auditions will be booked on the show without having to audition in Nashville ! They are looking for all varieties of Country singers…any age is welcome to audition…traditional, new country, rockabilly, alt country, etc. is welcomed…novelty country acts will be considered…but everyone must perform as a DUO. You may audition acapella or with acoustic instruments (only one guitar preferred)…you may come to the audition as a single, but you will have to pair up with someone else in line or they will select a partner for you (which may not be to your benefit).
