I came across 3 interesting tracks from Soundchoice this weekend. One was a track that displayed that the "SHOW WILL START IN 10 MINS" and then went on to display the History of Karaoke, DO's and Don'ts of singing karaoke and some instructions on filling our request slips or sign up sheets. It was pretty cool.... The others were one that showed " stopped taking requests " and "Show is Over" I'm not sure what disc they came off of and I couldn't find any info on their site. but they seemed pretty useful? |

Hehhehe, were you one of the 20 people at my shows this weekend? I have this disc that you speak of and use it nightly, well weekly rather. Mine was a promo disc from soundchoice that came bundled with another soundchoice purchase. I am unaware if this is a 'for sale' disc or not. Hope that helps, MrD |

We have used it some in the past Just wish that it had a countdown with real time. We play DJ from 7:30 unitil 8 and this post reminds me I should make up some slide shows and other things for this slot. Ideas?/ |

They come with the Foundation Sets, it also has some general sound effects like drumrolls, canned applause, laughing (I think) and a couple others. I've used it in the past but it's been years, would prefer to make my own like Matt has - although I haven't even done that. |

yep... if you can make a nice enough one in mspaint, then you can do a good version for karaoke builder! My favorite - "Hey Stupid... don't stand in front of the Phuckin' TV!" ((evil grin)) |

Take pictures of your regulars - singers AND non-singing bar regulars, as well as bar staff over several nights, and run them as your slide show- they'll love it! Throw in a few novelty pictures just to break things up.. |

croak, what I meant is you build the screen you want in mspaint, and then use karaoke builder to upload that image as a .cdg screen. It sounds a bit complex... but what I do is convert that .cdg screen to a .bin file using their tool, and then use mp3toolz to change it to a .mp3g. I suppose I could just marry the .cdg screen with a blank mp3 (naming wise), but just never tried it. To me, I got into the rhythm of what needed to be done, and could make that while a singer was singing! I used this to make custom screens for singers ("Now singing... BETTY!") in huge fonts, and they loved it while walking up to the stage! |
