I've converted my CDG to my lapy top but now when I connect to an external monitor I get a buzz thru my PA.  I don't have cable connected to it and I've tried running the monitor of the same power strip that I have the PA and lap top plugged into with no luck.  I use an s-video cable with an s-video to RCA converter and use an RCA cable to the monitor. The buzz is only noticable between songs but is still annoying.

get some ground lifts (the little two prong to three porng converters) and plug each plug through them.  you should be able to find which piece of equipment is causing the hum.  also make sure there are no bar lights (neons) on the same circuit as your equipment.  this is the most common problem but it may be something else
