I read an article this morning online that said in Australia they are encouraging Santas to say "Ha Ha Ha" instead of the traditional "Ho Ho Ho" because, get this, they look at it as being demeaning to women.  

WHAT?!?!?! :O  Just because people have mangled the English language in America (as well as other parts of the world) and ho can be construed as a derogatory remark they're wanting to change Santa Claus' vocabulary?????

Makes ya wonder what this world is coming to  :banghead:

Never thought Australia would get caught-up in the PC madness.

Crazy ain't it!  And if that weren't bad enough they're "encouraging" Santas to slim down.  Considerin' most of em wear padded suits that's a bit ridiculous too.  

Geez, the poor kids of the future--Skinny Santas going Ha Ha Ha, think they'll have him shavin' next?  :headscratch:

That is taking PC way over the edge!!!  Well, what will probably happen next is they'll have to have Santa say something instead of "Ha, Ha, Ha". Kids might complain that Santa was laughing AT them!  LOL

Or they'll start tellin' Santa to dye his hair and have Botox treatments to get rid of the lines when he crinkles his nose.  And oh yeah, Lasix so he won't need his glasses anymore to read all the kiddies' lists  :shock:

Added:  Oh...just heard on the radio that Loews will not be selling Christmas trees, but FAMILY trees this year...

Do they know how rediculous that sounds. If I refused to play any karaoke songs that had "ho" in them I'd be getting rid of a ton of classics. The word is used for a lot more than the abreviation to whore, please!! It is a laughing sound and a singing sound. That's like saying we can't use the word "but" anymore because someone might be affended.  LMAO

the same firm provides santas in nz but our santas have said they will strike if they are made to say ha ha ha...we are proud to be nuclear free despite the pressure from US government to allow their warships in our waters... I sincerely hope that the santas prevail on this too...mind you many of the chain stores are no longer decorating for xmas...I ask where the decorations are and when they tell me that the posters of someone sitting in the same room as a xmas tree is their decoration I tell them they have lost a sale.

Babs said but.   Are gardners still using hoes to till their gardens?  That's not a very nice thing to do.  They should either do the work themselves or get skilled labor instead of using hoes.  I think I have a hoe in my garage, I might just pull it out and put her, er, it to work tonight.

Didnt the Jolly Green Giant go Ho Ho Ho? Well he might have had a Yo or 2 in there. I hear the green people are going to start demonstrating against the Keebler Elves for baking cookies in hollow trees.

These people grew up watching cartoons and know nothing about real life. They have a bumper stick philosophy and live in a fantasy world. They have no respect for their parents let alone self or anybody else.

They are a product of the far right and far left crazies in the educational system that right now want to give 11 tear old girls birth control pills without parental consent The latest thing is we cant have hugging in schools They are totally out of control and nuts...And extremists and teaching our kids to ignore their parents and become extremists too to support their sicko causes. The radicals in this  world right now are totally insane ...

The people running for president are totally extreme right or left. They dont have a clue whats going on in this country between the coasts let alone on the other side of the world...They dont care about you or me but their petty thoughts and power and ambitions..  HO HO F*ucking HO... They will wrest the Ho hanging in my garden shed from my dirty callused hands.

SIDE NOTE My home town Fort Collins Co is the laughing stock of the nation right now about Gov decorations(as mentioned by Jay Leno and others) .... The people here are coming unglued to the point where they wont shop in town they will buy off the internet.. This town is in an uproar because of those few radicals  A lot of people here is going to lose money.

Santa is a male ?   What's this sexist world coming to !   I think Santa should be a Jewish Girl from Scarsdale that gets driven around by some chauffeur who instructs the seven poodles pulling the sled, so between throwing the pickled Heron down chimneys, and talking on her cell phone she doesn't break a nail.

Is that how to describe a Christmas tree for single moms with kids?....Why don't they call it "Lone Pine" and get it right?

Don't worry, Ha, Ha, Ha won't last either......Some "victim" will decide Santa is laffing at them cause they are fat and he is skinny and they will feel "bullied".

I'm thinking we need to use Cactus for Christmas trees till folks again get used to a few pricks in life.

 Not sure,  The two organizations that have final say need to get together on this issue.. The North American division of the "Genuine adaptation for the inter-denominational Holiday season no actual living trees have been injured Association", needs to get together with the  "Indoor seasonal non-gender representational  no race, creed or color bias design revue holiday decor committee"  so the "Judeo/Christian Parents without partners Psychiatric Board of Directors" can decide on the placement of the pink and blue tree limbs. The biggest problem is currently the "Amish Republican Afro-American Same sex marriage association of Epileptics with hyperthyroidism"  throwing a wrench into this situation,  some neurologist feels the color pattern can induce seizures hence is discriminatory. This was supposedly thrown out've court two years ago,  but the neurologists Atty is petitioning the court because he feels that if the Supreme court never found out that his Grandmother was born in Afghanistan he'd have stood a better chance fighting this case.
