Last night we started getting a pop in Jbl Eon G2 It is similar to the poweron pop only louder. (every 15 min)The poweron pop is caused from initial charge of the filters in the main amp power supply. I will take it apart this week and fix it I have found bad connections in big filters in Mackie 808 etc and suspect the same here or it could be in the line in maybe switch board It should be a fairly easy fix but out of curiousity has anybody heard of or run into this problem If so what was it?

I was worried I think it was on the bass A pop like this on the horn would destroy the diaphragm in a second...

Finally got it apart The plug from the power transformer harness going to the Power supply & amp was halfway unplugged. Pushed it in all the way and it locked Its wierd Ive run this speaker prob 6 years and as much as its been bounced around that plug should have come all the way out.  I did resolder the big leads on the amp board.  Chances are thats what it was causing the pops.. We will see sat!!!!

The loose plug was the culprit here. Where is your bass setting?  At max you will get pops on some music.

Solved that problem but my help had to work late and I had to setup alone Played dj for 30 min Waited till the last minute to do mic checks. No 1 & 2 mics Had to pull the inserts going to the 266xl Found out today the power transformer is bad (open primary) Now Ill see how good DBX tech support is and if they will sell me one.

My host didnt know what compressors do till he was adjusting mic levels last night. LOL
