Here is a video of Porter and his all girl band. He was a country legend, and will be dearly missed. He gave so much to country music, and had many accomplishments.His passing was no surprise, as he had lung cancer, but it is still hard to take for us country fans. I did a song of his on the showcase as well. Heres porter with his all girl band, and my favorite female steel player Lucia Lynn.

I was going to be able to meet him in January, he was one of our main shows scheduled at the River City Bluegrass Festival here in Portland, I'm sorry to have missed that chance. Saddens me to hear of his passing, he was one of the old greats.  I grew up singing along to him and Dolly's duets.
