In the little bar Im in now Im going to run a 100, snake in the overhead and setup on the other side of the bar. I will run 3 mics back , the mains audio, monotor audio, and 2 videos to the stage area It doesnt have the typical hung ceiling tiles but is full of light bars etc. Also one of the speaker cables overhead which wouldnt cost that much. In most installs like this for example jukeboxesif the bar is closed or is sold (drug bust)installs like this are considered part of the fixtures.

I have a very good relationship with this owner and dont expect any problems but this is a 100' 8 return 4 send and it aint something you would want to leave behind. Would appreciate some thoughts on this matter.

If I had more than 1 night I would always have something installed (usually coax & A/B video switches on the tv's) to make the set-up easier, in my current gig, nothing has been taken down since 2000 (when they remodeled), before that everything was installed from 94-2000 & except for the players I have on the counter, everything is wired in through the ceiling, even have my speakers flown over the dance floor from the ceiling & a speaker mounted on the wall.  7 10 guage speaker cords from 50'-100' are ran through the ceiling, amps are mounted in a counter they had given me, computer towers are also mounted in the counter so nothing is mobile anymore there.
Only had a problem once.  Had a club shut down, the night after I did a show, I left it to pick up in the morning as I always had, came the next morning they had a out of business sign on the front door & it took me almost 3 weeks before I could get my stuff back out.
Is there a concern or worry that the club may be closed down or sold?  If so then I would not leave anything in there.

This is not a typical bar Lonnie and would never expect any trouble we go for weeks without a super drunk singer.

Years ago when I was with High Countrty Games & Music we has jukebox and dart board in Debbie Does Donuts. All the Debbies were topless and the locals were having a fit LMAO They couldnt close them down so finally ther feds (always think it was a setup) closed them on a drug bust. Poor Gary didnt get in there for over a year to get our stuff out. It is something to keep in mind.

Hardwire is a great way to go. If the investment is a little more than you would be comfortable losing then maybe have a written agreement that if you ever part ways that the bar has three options: 1) purchase the wiring from you at your actual cost of investment. 2) allow you to remove the setup and you keep.

Attach a copy of the wiring receipts to the agreement and make 2 copies. One for him one for you. Then it's up front and agreed upon.

This is good business and he should respect you for being thorough.

If you feel comfortable with a hand shake then so be it....

Hardwire saves you a bunch of setup time for sure.

Let us know how it turns out.

i use to run my snake through the attic as well (a 100' 24x4 input/return) simply to have it out of the way.  once we got the shuffleboards in, i took it out of the attic and ran it behind the shuffleboard.
