I don't know if this is technical or not, but it is close enough.

I have a four-space SKB rack that holds my medium gig setup. A powered mixer (PMH3000) sits on top of it nicely, and the four slots hold a monitor power amp, a dual 15-band monitor EQ, a power strip with light, and Lexicon MX200 for effects.

All this works great. But I have to have a table to sit it on, and that isn't always easy to find in the right measure.

Has anyone ever used an X stand, i.e. a keyboard holder, to hold a rack?

had a friend that once used the type of stand that caterers use to place their trays on to hold his rack whichwas at least an 8 space with mixer, amplifier cd player and cdg player. worked ok, might even thnk of getting two for me, one for the rack and tone for the singer's screen.

I have used the "Z" Stand with great results. It is very stable and has plenty of height and width adjustment. It works great for racks! Everything folds down for transporting and takes up little storage space.

Thanks, I missed those references to a mixer. That looks like just the ticket....

That looks like a winner as well!

Looks like my thought wasn't quite so crazy after all. Thank you!
