Karaoke Forums

I just joined the site yesterday and have to many questions. I use one of several Karaoke machines and I just discovered that I am a KJ. Wasn't even sure what that meant yesterday.
How do we record songs on this site? Do we burn them at home and then email them here? I can not find the proper links to do it.
Also is there any way to control the 'effects, ie Reverb' when you record a song here? I noticed some people almost sound natural while others live in a can.
Any help would be appreciated.

We are not able to record songs on this site. This is what I do: I record on my PC using a program called Cubase. When I have the song recorded and mixed, I convert it to an mp3 file that will fit into my allotted space. For me, that's 3mb per file. (I think a 4min. song would be converted to a 96kbps file) Then, I upload it to the site.

Certainly, if you have any of your personal recordings burned to cd, you may upload them to Singers Showcase. Just be sure to convert them to mp3 first, and make sure they are the proper size.

I've never connected a karaoke machine to my computer, but I know that it's possible. I think some folks here do it that way.  I'm sure someone will be along soon to help you out.

Thanks for your reply. I was afraid that might be the answer. Now I will have to find a way to record my songs. I only discovered since joing this group yesterday that I am actually a KJ. Just think about it yesterday I coundn't spell KJ and today I am one.  :)
