A couple of months back I finally took the plunge headlong into a new bose system it is the Bose L1 model 2 w/2 bass bins and their new T1 Tone Match Mixer

I researched this product for over a year and then had an opportunity about 6 months ago to demo the unit and try it at one of my gigs. Then it was a short wait until they started shipping the newest release of the L1 model 2 and their new T1 mixer.
This is an amazing piece of equipment!
The setup and tear down time is like 5 minutes, the heaviest componet is like 22lbs, the mixer is compact and power packed with features. The sound is heavenly coming from 24 speakers in the tower and an amazing bottom end that any DJ would love to have and there is plenty of headroom even in rooms designed to hold 500-750 people. The clarity and coverage is almost 180 degrees. The sound is the same 10ft away is the same at the back of the room...the volume decreases some but the clarity is exactly the same. Even at high volume levels you can still carry on a conversation 10 ft away.
It has EQ presets for all quality mics...I use SM58's and I have yet been able to get them to feedback even at 2ft distance from the tower. The effects choices, EQ settings, and Compressor/Gate settings are infinately adjustable.
I can run my laptop directly into the T1 mixer via USB as the T1 is also a 24bit soundcard and the sound quality is premium. The mixer is a dream tool as it is completely matched with the L1 tower and preamps are quiet and velvety smooth adjustment knobs. I can place my tower anywhere within 50ft from my booth and run a cable from the T1 so it gives me plenty of flexibility as far as placement.
As for setup....No more speakers, speaker stands, speaker wires, strained backs, my entire system will fit in a compact car trunk and the teardown is lightning fast.
One other little benefit is that I can hear better the next day as my hearing is not fatigued. Many of you can relate to this if you have been KJ'ing for a while.
Yeah it's spendy but it is so worth it. You can purchase it from Guitar Center or Directly from Bose. I decided on the direct from Bose method as they offered a 45 day demo and 0% interest financing for 6 or 12 months. All you have to do is give them a credit or debit card number and they will ship you a unit and bill you equal monthly payments without the need for credit checks etc. If you try it and don't like all you have to do is pay for shipping the unity back. That was a hard deal for me to pass up.
