Have a slant rack that I wanted to mount my mixer to on my new karaoke system.  My old system has a Yamaha MG 12/4 Mixer with Rackmount ears and fits in the rack nicely.  I purchased a Yamaha MG 12/4 CX (since the 12/4 and 12/4 FX are discontinued) and realize that these are not rack mountable, and do not contain a rackmount kit.

I like the 12/4 Yamaha -- I use channels 5/6 - 7/8 for one cd+g player and 9/10 - 11/12 for the other cd+g player.  Plugging all into the LEFT channels for a mono sound.  I hold channels 1-4 for karaoke microphones.  I also prefer the "sliders" over "knobs" for volume control.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a mixer equivelant to my old 12/4 that I can rackmount?  Possible one with effects?

Thanx for your help!

Sweet...  but can you put a lid on the rack or do you have to remove the mixer?

Would have liked to check out the Peavey, but I need the mixer by Friday so I had to choose whatever Guitar Center had left.  It was between a Mackie which was pretty expensive and didn't have any effects, nor did it include rack mounts.  So I was forced to give the Behringer 1622FX a shot.  If I don't like it I'll take it back.   :)

Anyway, thanx for the help guys!
