I'm using CoolEditPro2 for recording my SS subs.I sing and delete until I get it right. Most of the time I make a mistake near the end of the song and I start over again. Can anyone teach me how to make a corection at the point of error instead of re-record? Thank you very much for extending the life of my vocal cords.

hey Tag, are you using the multitrack? if you use multitrack then you can simply start to record on another track at a position just before where you went awry on the first take, then simply silence out the bad bit on the first track and replace with the good 2nd track, then mix down with music and voila!

You can use the "punch in" feature... select the portion of the waveform that you want to redo, select punch in, then just move the cursor back to a point where you can start singing... it will start recording the new vocals at the start of the portion you selected.
