Ok, I am not really getting in to show biz. I am leaving tomorrow morning down to LA. My company is sponsoring an event by some Hollywood magazine so we are going to set up a table and try to tell all these Hollywood types what we are all about. I hear that MTV is going to be there to cover the event so maybe we will get mentioned in a national media. We will see.

Bad part is that since we are going to be "working" all the evenings, no karaoke for me. Good part is that the work is attending Hollywood parties and meeting all the celebrities. What a work! I have never been to one of these parties so it should be interesting. I hope they let us take pictures. I hear that Friday is some young celeb's birthday so she is throwing a big birthday party at the same venue as where we will be. I have no idea who that is but it should be interesting.

Will keep you informed (hopefully with pictures).

LMAO  Good one Babs!  You'd think after all these years Bon Jovi would know how to clean up after themselves.  And yes, Britney's "roots" are showing more and more these days!

Keep us updated on how things go Ben! :)

Yeah, that's my ex. Thanks for asking. It turned out that her spinal cord injury is permanent as of now. She's getting around in wheelchair and will probably for the rest of her life. I do admire her though. She has very positive outlook on her life. She is very optimistic about her life and she's adjusting to her life. It's not easy and sometimes she gets frustrated but she's gotten a new bed to make her easier getting in and out, shopping for a van so she can be independent (although her female side came out "I don't know about a van, they are so ugly. Why can't they make vans that look good?", oh the vanity of it all).

Her mother (or someone) is still with her pretty much 24x7 for now but hopefully she will be independent and be able to do things on her own.

OK, first report from Hollywood. Last night was the first venue, I went to a place called the Highlands. The venue was kind of dead because they had to change the venue at the last minute due to some conflict. I mean they changed it two days ago. So, only about a hundred people showed up. It's located on a 4th floor at a large complex right on Hollywood Blvd. Pretty impressive building.

On the way there, they shut off some of the road because Jimmy Kimmel was doing a live show from outdoors, featuring Kenya West, so the street was crowded and hard to get around. I didn't see the show because as we were driving by, they were wrapping it up.

I must admit that the women are pretty incredible looking (and over half of them are actresses,  LOL ). The bands were pretty good too, one in particular was very good, a band called Aurora. They were all female metal band from Sacramento, CA. 4 young women played some good hard metal rock, but the problem was they look about 20 and some sorority girls. No tattoos, no dyed hair, no heavy makeup, normal clothes. Somehow what was coming out of their mouth and their instrument didn't fit how they looked. They needed some management help. However, they sounded pretty good and I am not even a metal rock fan.

Supposedly tonight is the big event at this place called Boulevard 3. They said over 1000 people have RSVPed for this event. It's going to be crazy. I am looking forward to it since I have never been to an event like this. Will keep you posted.

Eben -
You must be a stand up guy to stay friendly with your ex at such a rough time for her.  I wouldn't wish that kind of accident on anyone.

Please keep us updated on Hollyebenwood - pics - lots of pics.

Babs, thanks for the words. Actually, I stay friends with most of my ex's. I still get a Christmas card from my very first ex.  LOL Yeah, it's hard seeing her in a wheel chair. She and I traveled around Ireland for 3 weeks once and we did a lot of hiking etc. It's hard to know that she can't do that anymore (she loved to ride a bike and hike with her friends).

As for the picture, I haven't taken any yet because I wasn't sure if I can at these venues. I will definitely bring my camera tonight. We will see. Thanks.

Babs, as it really should be IMHO.  So many of us have a really tough time staying friends with Ex's because of our own ego stuff.  It's ashame to let a relationship burn behind us when realistically most endings (like beginnings) are no-fault meaning the relationship runs its course and both must live their lives looking elsewhere.. Most relationships have shorter lives than the human life-span why blame the other person ?  Why burn a bridge such as a relationship behind us.. Yeah, I try to convince myself that this is the way things should be but it's TOUGH.. Am I able to apply this in most cases ?  Nah,  but I envy those who can !

Well, it's a different world out there in Hollywood. I attended the last party on Saturday and drove home on Sunday. I am still recovering. I got some interested footage and put them on my site.

I am always fascinated about people from different region of the country and world. Hollywood is a definitely a different world. It's almost like another country. The women are beautiful but they won't even talk to you unless you look like a model, have power or have money. I have never seen so many beautiful women at one place. I felt like a kid in a candy store, can't afford to buy but sure is nice looking at them and drool.

Some of the venues where they had these parties were just unbelievable. They are so high end, I don't think I will ever be in these place in the future. I don't think they will let me in!

Anyways, it was a blast. I think it's a good experience that everyone should try at least once in a lifetime.

She needs a model that she can use wheel chair to get inside then transfer from the wheel chair to the drivers seat. I don't think HHR has enough room for the wheel chair to be rolled inside.

Ok, as promised, some pictures from the party I attended. No offense but only thing I noticed was the legs, legs and more legs (just like the ZZTop song, she's got legs...)
