I was watching ABC the other night and their promo for the new Caveman Show, the promo was in a Karaoke bar, with one friend on stage and his two friends at the bar. The singer of course, was way off with his rendition, and his friend at the bar stated,
This will set the invention of the wheel back 10,000 years, now they will say that "We invented Karaoke, that could set us back 10 million years." I guess we have heard it all these days,
"Karaoke, a bunch of drunks in a bar."
"Karaoke, dont drink and drive"
"Karaoke Sucks"
"Karaoke, More fun than a Lobotomy!!!"

If we could give Karaoke a positive spin, what would we say, how could we say it, and how could we promote it to stop the negativity and insults we take. I know we all turn the other way when Karaoke is bashed, "Oh, its just Karaoke" but if we really enjoy what we do, what slogan could we create, to give Karaoke a "Positive" image in the public eye today?    
Even though we know how much we love karaoke being on this site and talking about it as we do, what kind of slogan could we give our Industry to make it look better than it does today? Should we just ignore the bad publicity, or could we do something to change the image and rep that karaoke has today??

I love the idea of this topic. The people who don't get it are the people who have never done karaoke.
