With strict DUI and other local laws specifically for bars  local law enforcement is more and more on the take Bars pay for protection and other priveledges. It is a epidemic and  with casual observations can be detected when 2 cops enter a bar about midnight.  I have seen mngrs (drinking ) go into the till and hand both cops money. None of the drunks notice it. Is anybody else here aware of it?

At our club, the cops would come into the parking lot, almost every week~end,  and mark tires with fluorescent chaulk. It all of a sudden stopped???  :O

Where I come from, you report such behavior to the local judge and prosecutor. It simply doesn't happen here. But I am sure it happens in plenty of places. I suggest a call to the local tips hot line followed up with a letter to the local U.S. attorney.
