Present setup We have a shure access 3 in a desk type mic stand I have a push button switch on the stand push on release its off. It is side chained into a compreesor to duck the background or DJ music. (Yes no FX on this mic in fact highs turned up because everybody has a tendency to talk closer to the mic)

I got an audio technica which I would like to use as the announce mic A wireless is handy to walk around and if the music is ducked it is professional.

Question is this one reason I never did like wireless for announce is you have to fumble with that little slide switch on the bottom (takes 2 hands). Anybody found a solution to this?

I fear to comment as my fingers are very dear to me and I certainly don't want them broken but, I assume you have already discarded the notion of mounting a momentery contact switch in the mic body replacing the switch on the bottom?

Yea but there isnt much room The nine volt battery pretty much fills the case. It might be possible with the right switch..
