Been reading many posts on this forum and going to the links on the left side, but I think I've decided on what I want to get and would like some of you pros' suggestions. I would like to get a karaoke system for my fiancee's birthday. Oh, and Wii Boogie is out of the question! Anyway, I know she will enjoy it and our friends will as well at get togethers, but I don't want to invest too much into a system now. I know I'd need the player (RSQ, JVC was what I was looking at), mixer, speakers, etc. etc. But the costs just keep going up! So I think I've decided on an all-in-one system, for now. Now I've seen a couple (on demo too!) at Costco and those seemed ok. I've checked out the links and noticed that RSQ and Vocopro makes a couple for sub $500. The size of the room it'd be played in at my place is about 15x15 (small living room). Anyway, bottom line, I need to buy one by Monday to hopefully get it by Friday (I'm in norcal, so I think most of the socal shippers would get it to me by Thurs). How do these particular models hold up for my uses? RSQ P70, VocoPro Gig star or duet, and the likes? Or would that Costco one work? These all seem to play multi-formats, especially the CD+G which seems to be the big format. Thanks for your help in advance! |

Do not buy VocoPro anything, you will just be unhappy very shortly and end up replacing it. Go to a music store and explain your needs. Getting going for under $500.00 is a trick. If you absolutely "Gotta have it" by Friday give sombody who knows their audio from their arse twenty bucks to go shopping with you. It will be money well spent. |

Okay, had some time after work today to do a little more research. Can someone comment on the setup I plan on doing? Either the Fender Passport P80 or the Squire 4 PA system for the sound. And an RSQ MK22 or S-222 for the player. So barring me missing something when I was researching, I pick an item from the sound and an item from the player, plug it to my tv at home and sing away right? Oh, not to mention buy some karaoke discs and another mic ot rwo. Anyway, if you guys can give a recco on either sound system and/or player, that'd be awesome! One last question, I noticed that the Fender has RCA plugs for the L/R channels from the player, but the Squire doesn't (unless it's on the back and I can't see it from all the pics I've see of it). How does one plug the player into the Squire? Thanks! |
