Been doing research on mic preamp kits that give the most bang for the bucks. These are mentioned in many forums. Hamptone is getting rave reviews on several forums. The jfet kit is $720 The tube kit is $100 more Both assembled about $400 more. link JLM BA2 uses the OPA2604 opamp which is the best for mic pres It compares and give resonance like tube pres. link Anybody here had any experience or heard one? |

I always hear you can't beat the RNP (Really Nice Preamp) for bang for your buck. |
