On a few occassions I've tried off-brand speakers such as Pyramid, Gem, Pyle, etc.
I personally don't like the sound, and that price isn't really much different than what you can find almost any place, these speakers might do the job, or they might not. You must listen to them prior to purchase because with these brands you really never know.  These (or at least they were) the common "discount house blowout" speakers rated at higher wattage than true wattage, and you really need to check carefully and research their sensitivity.  Pyle made the sub-woofer tubes, and supposed super loud audio stuff many of the kids bought but unless something has recently changed, Pyle was never a respected name in the Pro Audio industry. Better listen to those before buying. You'll always find bargains on names such as Kustom, Pyle, etc, and personally I'd stay away from them based on past experiences.  Whether they've gotten into the competition somehow by turning out a decent pro audio design I don't know

This is VERY common for this type speaker.

When you speak through them, they sound funny......but when you sing, they sound really good......at least that's what Gomer said........ :)

Pyle, not a great brand.  In the late 80's early 90's they made ok car subs, but then even lost their niche there.  They are a low end brand.

Yeah Lonnie,  I was looking at their supposed "Pro-line", and outside of a fancy marketing name for the same sub-par product given other equipment that can be had for around the same price I don't know what they've turned out. Just haven't heard anything but the bass tubes, kicker boxes, and the BOOM BOOM car stuff that's rated at 300 watts and sounds like thunder and vibrating car seals about to come undone... The kids think a proper sound mix is Car stock Delco AM/FM radio, and a 500 watt sub-woofer.  Gives them all the balance in sound they need LOL

I heard a rumor that people under the age of 17 are incapable of hearing anything over 120 hertz LOL

Actually they can,  but they consider it spurious interference and jam it out with similar frequencies by rattling their car windows.  We had it wrong when EQ'ing music from about 60 Hz to 15 KHz.  The correct way to EQ music is using the Richter scale.

It is rather amazing isn't it, like, look it's got 1000 watts and only 54% distortion, but the most important thing is.....it's chrome LMAO

Well chrome is just a better sounding color.  Can't blame these kids for recognizing it.

I am curious about the Pyle pro-series.  Since I know nothing about that line, the natural assumption may be they don't make good equipment.  While that might be the case,  it also might not be in the case with a newer different line today. Yesterdays cheap "Manufacturer" might be todays top rated product given who electronics changes year to year.  Has anyone heard their "Pro PA" cabs ?  I prefer to no longer assume a product is lousy just because it wasn't good in the old days.  We all know that technology changes and yesterdays cheap import series by todays standards MIGHT be a great product in retrospect or in a head-to-head comparison with similarly priced even more costly electronics..  A few VCR's that I've had for over 20 years have been Emerson,  Samsung, Shintu, etc... The JVC, Sony, and recognised makes crapped out years and years ago.
