Popped in to a friend's show last evening and saw a new, at least to me, label / manufacturer called Mandacy or Madacy. Can't recall ever seeing it before. The track sounded sort of "midi"... but then, I'm no expert when it comes to telling the difference. There was a lot of noise in the place, so I couldn't really get a feeling for the sound.
Is this a new label? How would you rate it's quality?

Nope not new. I've seen them before. I Think there the same company as Singing Maachine, but don't quote me on that.
Christmas disc I have isn't half bad, but otherwise i wouldn't go out of my way to find them.

I have a few Madacy discs as well that I picked up in bulk buys. I don't think i even ripped them because there was nothing on them i didn't have already from another label.

I too got some with bulk purchases and some of them don't have any song tiles on the disc, just the manu data and disc number (they are pressed with ring data)

I have a couple - if I recall they were called Karaoke Party (maybe Karaoke Bay). They were a K-Mart, Walmart, Target type brand and haven't been available since around mid 2000's (at least I have seen any). I bought a couple in a pinch back then and they did the job but wouldn't be something I'd actively seek out. 1 disc I had was for the Evenescence song Bring Me To Life. Interesting thing about it was it didn't have the guy part in it at all - no words or backing vocals. It was like it was the original demo version.

Medacy is to Karaoke Party as Sybersound is to Party Tyme. They were actually out first, and were a U.S. based company at one time. A good quality product, but I was under the impression that they have been out of business for 5 or 6 years. Were tbese current tracks? If so, maybe moving to Canada has something to do with their resurgence.
They also produced regular music discs, mostly box sets.

Can't recall what the song was, but I think it might have been a Ray Charles number, and I only saw the splash screen once, so I'm afraid I'm no help... This was at an oldies-type karaoke show, so it wouldn't have been something produced lately.
