Karaoke Forums

Hello from a real novice.  Where can I find out the basics of a system.  I have a decent stereo and speakers, but I haven't a clue as to what else I need to get started.  Please point me towards an educational source.  I'd like to learn a little before I ask any stupid questions.  Not that I won't ask them any way.  Thanks  :worship:  :worship:  :worship:  :worship:

to address your concerns, we need to know what are your exact needs... playing cd+g discs, playing streaming files on a computer, playing files on a computer you ripped yourself...

also, what is your budget?

there are many threads that can address certain parts of what you may be interested in. Other newbies to this have asked similar questions... so check out the other titles in this tech forum for beginning advice.

many of us folks don't recommend home stereo speakers for karaoke. Most aren't rated for live vocals, only recorded music... so you can harm your speakers, a little or a lot by singing... may take time before you clearly hear the fuzziness of what was once clear speakers. Most of us use speakers we got strictly for karaoke!
