A sincere Thank You beforehand for all the assistance you guys dish out!
I would like to ask for assistance on two topics, namely,
A) "Next Singer" display on external TV/Monitor when using Winamp. Is there a way to achieve this?
B) What is the best and fairest rotation system? It's OK when one has a handful of singers, which one usually starts with, but when new singers arrive, do one place them at the end of the queue or does one "insert" them in between those who have already sung a song or two?
I have some very important gigs coming up soon and the likelihood is that quite a lot of singers will attend. I do not wish to disappoint nobody, 'cause I feel that all singers are equal!
I am using a Laptop system with Win XP Pro.
All suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You.

The best advice I can give you is to read and digest the multitude of answers you will get here, and trust me you will get a BUNCH. Then pick what works best for your audience.
That is easiest to do when you have a standing gig, naturally, but what is fair in one group is not in another. Isis and I place great value on rewarding the people that have been at the club all night--new singers to to the end of the list instead of getting "worked in." This is how we felt as patrons and we are taking it to our brand-new show. This can get sticky, because we know we have some regulars that work late (as opposed to those who are spending there money elsewhere before they stop by our club) and we DON'T want to punish them for working second shift. See what I mean about picking what works best for your audience?
As far as displaying the singers' names, there is another thread that touches on that with a suggestion of how one KJ does it. We are using Autokdj to run the show right no and it appears to have a "marquis" feature built into it to display the next singer. I am researching that right now.
