Babs got me thinking about this one. For the musicians around here that don't mind revealing how many times they've been around the block. What were some of the Bands you've been a member of and better yet, how did you arrive at the name. I'll start with one I remember.
The Band : "Hurt Me Tommy"
The name was chosen after what seemed like several hours and even severaler(I made that word up) beers bouncing names off each other, you know, names like Cheese stix, Toast, things like that. A couple of the guys got a little rowdy and started screwing around, Tommy, one of the guitar players shoved Doug the light guy, and of course he said "Well hurt me tommy", I said good enough meeting over. Played under that name for over fifteen years.

, I don't recall any body ever asking where the name came from and I don't believe I ever asked the founding members how they came about picking that name. I do remember the front guy was like 5'2" and wore these waaay tall blue sparkle platform shoe's. I must admit he was one hex of a showman, did parts of the old Cooper show sometimes including the hanging himself. I guess you could say it was a show band. Played all over the East and Midwest from Florida even up into Canada. It would have been the early 70's, perhaps some of you that were younger once might have seen that band.
