I couldn't see myself renting a $900 speaker, a $50 stand and $100 mic for $100 for the weekend. Yeah it's extra cash, but I don't need a $100 that bad. Too many bad things can happen, the mic is dropped on the concreate or the speaker is turned up too loud and the driver is blown by feedback.
I know my equipmet insurance does not cover if I rent or loan out my equipment.

That's a long time period. When I played candlelight piano for middle-aged people having sex I rounded my rates to 3 second increments. Many were on fixed incomes ! Some couldn't even afford a partner.
