Can anyone help me, I have about 5000 songs and i wanted to go digital with my laptop. I am running sax and dotty's /winamp. And I need to know how to hook my computer to my tv and thru my karaoke mixer. What sort of hardware do I need and is sax and dotty's good for this.

basically, you need the equivalent of the karaoke player that plays discs... the rca connections to the mixer, and the rca connection to the tv.

your video card has to be able to do extended desktop (for it to look professional and not just the screen you see on your monitor). Then you need a s-video to rca connection.

As for the sound, I PERSONALLY use a usb sound device from Soundblaster Creative that converts my audio to RCA. Others use the delta44 card, or just go "line out" from their soundcard (using a 1/8" adaptor to rca)...

I highly recommend you do NOT use that last option. Most times it sounds awful!
